X-RAY

Our digital X-Ray machine allows us an immediate diagnostic tool in order to best diagnose you and create a plan of treatment. Having an on-site X-Ray suite makes your doctor visit an all-inclusive exam without ever leaving the comfort of our office. In order to better understand your situation, we have monitors in each exam room so that you can see your X-Rays right then, while the doctor is talking with you. In fact, your x-rays are waiting to be pulled up on the screen before you even get back to your room!

WHAT IS AN X-RAY?

An x-ray is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose medical conditions. An x-ray machine will take a photograph of the body by using a small burst of radiation and recording the image on the digital recording plate. X-rays are the oldest and most commonly used form of medical imaging.

SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THE EXPOSURE TO RADIATION?

You should not be concerned about having an x-ray done because the machine contains low-level radiation and you will only have limited exposure.

WHAT TO WEAR?

Some x-rays can be taken in the clothes you arrive in. Other times, depending upon the image needed, you may be asked to put on a gown.
